Welcome To The World Of Dance ABCD2






Visual Joy, Magnificent Dance is all what ABCD2 is made of but what a treat is all you will say once you have witnessed it...This is a sure shot blockbuster bcoz the movie has been created with passion and stayed true to what it was set out for...Dazzle you with Dance....Everything else in the movie was just in the right proportion....Some emotions, Little Comedy, Stars just to some times give you a relief and lots and lots and lots of dance on a scale that's only possible to enjoy on the Big Screen...With 3D it makes the visual treat even more amazing...
The movie is not only going to make money but its going to inspire millions to pick up Dance....
The concept of ABCD is so amazing that it can be reproduced over and over again and yet the audience will enjoy it...At this moment this is indeed an innovation for India , which has never witnessed a pure musical...This is one such...Though it executes this musical in an Indian way...
As far as other departments are concerned i must say while it looks like a simple movie but i guess the screenplay writer and editors have done a tremendous job to ensure the doses of emotions are in the just right scale...The DOP, Set Designer and Choreographer are the real heroes of the movie who have made the visual appeal of dance multiple folds...Music is just awesome, it lends so much emotions to each act of dance in the movie, that you want to hear it and see it over and over again....
Of course to say the least the dancers cum actors were just out of the world....Varun & Shraddha have worked really hard and have managed to carve their spaces within the group of talented dancers...I must say Remo is not just a great choreographer but he is a good director too as he managed to ensure that the movie does not at any point of time derails from his core objective of promoting dance to promoting the stars....
This weekend if you havent seen ABCD then you are missing out on something.....ANY BODY CAN DANCE IS A GREAT STRETCHABLE CONCEPT....

Icche is possibly one of the most wonderful movies i have ever seen till date...More so for the wonderful wonderful performance by 'Sohini Sengupta'... The whole story revolves around the mother 'Mamta' and son 'Soumik' played by 'Sohini Sengputa' & 'Samadarshi Dutta'. Some serious questions on the movie business???

Given the fact that all movies are now on TV within few weeks of release gives us a sense that producers are looking for multiple revenue streams big time...(in fact i have heard some of them plays a role in releasing the pirated CD's as well..when they know it will not do well....)....Looking at the quality of movies being made now a days , big time fall in footfalls in Multiplexes due to much faster spread of 'Word of mouth'unlike a couple of years back (thanks to social networking)...it gives me an indication that somewhere the business model of 'Movies' are not working smoothly, which is forcing producers to release it on TV much sooner than required so that they can at least cash in on the idiot box which at least gives them greater assurance of 'Eyeballs' (as typically people do give all those movie a watch which they haven't seen in theatre's...bcoz for them its free of cost..)...While its good for the producers that they have TV to save them ...

Sardar Udham - Amazon Prime

 I was awaiting Sardar Udham with a lot of eagerness because of two reasons. # 1 - It was Shoojit's latest creation and we all know how good a film maker he is. # 2 - It had Vicky Kaushal who is one of the best actors in Bollywood today. The 2hr 42 min film was made with great intent to dive deep into the mind and motives of Sardar Udham Singh that led to the killing of Michael O' Dwyer 20 years after he had given the orders for Jaliwalan Bagh Executions. The highest point of the film was the last 40 minutes which showcases the Jaliwalan Bagh killings and the diplomatic defense of the incident by the army and bureaucrats of the British. It does shake you, emotionally stirs you and does make you feel angry that till date there is no official apology of the same by the United Kingdom. The film depicts some interesting characterization of Bhagat Singh and his philosophy.
