Review - IPC 420 On Zee 5

When Vinay Pathak, Ranvir Shorey, Gul Panag & Arif Zakaria get together one can expect that even a simple predictable story will turn into a great watch. IPC 420 is somewhat like that.

In spite of being a fairly predictable plot, the performances complemented with good screenplay and a real-life treatment by the director make it more than a watchable film.

The film deals with the story of a middle-class chartered accountant who deals with influential government officials and businessmen and gets embroiled in a bizarre scandal that unfolds in a courtroom. The most astonishing aspect of the film is that it revolves around just 5 characters and unfolds almost entirely within a courtroom and yet it will keep you engaged and curious till the end.

The character that truly stands out in the film is Ranvir Shorey who plays the role of a 'Khadoos' experienced lawyer to perfection, while Vinay Pathak, Gul Panag & Arif Zakaria keep their portrayals real and relatable as always.

If there was one weak link in the film it is Rohan Vinod Mehra. While he has been sincere in his role, he lacks relatability.

Overall it's a great effort by director Manish Gupta and the team.

If you are still looking for some good quality content instead of just brainless binge-watching, IPC 420 is that content for you.

Enjoy this upcoming new year with some great content....
