Review Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania
Humpty Sharma ki dulhania is 'wohi puraani ghisi piti love story in a new avatar'. So for folks who like to see meaningful cinema, this is definitely a huge waste of money. But for those who are romantic at heart, believe cinema is as much entertainment and meaningful content, and love bollywood, this is a blockbuster.
Its true that its the easiest movie for Dharma Production to make from a content standpoint but whats difficult is to present similar content over and over again with so much freshness so that in those 2.5hrs you actually do not criticise the 'old wine in a new bottle' but actually enjoy it thoroughly. I believe one must give full marks to Karan Johar and team for yet another romantic blockbuster.
I wont reveal the story much bcoz its got so little in any case but what you should look forward to is the amazing chemistry between Varun & Aaliya. The super entertaining first half. The other supporting cast who make the overall movie extremely entertaining and after a long long time you see Ashutosh Rana who still holds a powerful screen presence. The film however belongs to Varun & Aaliya who have definitely made their space in the industry as the most spontaneous actors of recent times and specially Aaliya who should be giving the new breed like Pariniti sleepless nights bcoz she is definitely emerging not just as a spontaneous actress but also very versatile and extremely beautiful on screen. These kids can no more be tagged as 'emerging stars'...they are stars already....
What i liked in the movie is the fact inspite of being so 'gheesa peeta' subject, it treats new age romance as extremely pragmatic rather than just emotional. The movie hardly gets into the old age 'rona dhona aur mushy mushy emotions'...its in that ways very fresh.....i guess that's what making romance a comeback in last one year or so with 2 states, heropanti and now Humpty making people enjoy romance on screen yet again....
Its definite this movie is a blockbuster....So wanna have a great weekend watch Humpty.....
