Review Madras Cafe

Madras Cafe is a bold initiative from John Abraham is all what comes spontaneously to my mind after i cam out of the theater after watching the movie.

There are reasons to make this comment is because the production house has consciously stayed true to the intense thriller without getting into any commercial demands of Bollywood....
How will this move play for the movie only audience can tell and therefore its fate commercially

Coming to my views i found it as an above average movie which had an intense plot, the screenplay is tight hence keeps you hooked on till the end on how it all plays out....The team has definitely done lot of research to ensure the intricacies of how the flow of events during 'LTTE' era played out and cast and settings which look believable. The direction seems inspired from hollywood political thirillers like 'Syriana'.

On the flip side while its an above par movie from Bollywood standards if i compare with Hollywood politco thriller i found it to miss the complexity levels which keeps you guessing till the end.....The cast like Piyush Pandey didn't seem convincing, while John was good but someone else like Mohanlal could have been more convincing in the role.....

Having said that its an above par movie which must be seen for its plot, storytelling, and for the fact that this is probably one of the few movies which is not cliche, based out of lot of research and poses Indian Intel agencies in a very real manner rather. This is a trend setter in political thrillers which are hard hitting and real.

If you haven't seen it then please go and watch....
