Sahib Biwi Aur Gangster Returns
Sahib Biwi Aur Gangster have returned finally with lot of expectations as the initial version was quite intriguing, erotic and thrilling. This version made it even more exciting as it had Irfaan Khan on the other side as gangster.....The movie starts with a beautiful punjabi number and the screen slowly makes you remind of the happenings in the last version and introducing the new characters like the new gangster "irfaan khan'....
The plot even this time remains pretty much the same and so the style of storytelling which is slow and looks forward to build up the 'thrill/suspense' as it goes along....Instead of 'Randeep Hooda' who in the first version turns into a gangster as he dreams of having the cake and eat it too by wooing the 'biwi' Mahi Gill and plots to takeover 'Sahib's' power thru her....But at the end the plot doesn't really work in favour of him as the Biwi changes her mind at the end.....
In this part too the Biwi once again finds another man in 'Irfaan Khan' to take away the power from 'Sahib' while Irfaan plots to kill 'Sahib' as he wants to avenge the toppling of his ancestors by Sahib's predecessors....In between this web caught is 'Soha Ali Khaan' daughter of another 'Sahib' Raj Babbar and on whom 'Sahib Jimmy Shergill' has lost his heart.....
So the story is all around this web of plots where 'Sahib wants to marry Soha', 'Biwi wants her power' ' Gangster wants to kill Sahib'.....Who manages to fullfill their ambitions is the story allabout and you need to watch it to figure it out....
Now coming to the verdict its too subjective...Though i must say that in hindsight 'Tigmanshu Dhulia' does a decent job is keep the plot intact and his style similar to the last one giving this property of 'SHG' a consistent look n feel......In terms of the intriguing element of the 'plot', 'the eagerness of the characters to fullfill their objectives' seemed to be lacking in this sequel unlike in the first one where the character of 'Randeep Hooda' was much more eteched out and he emerges as a gangster slowly thru the plot as his lust for Biwi and Power grows over time.....This element seemed lacking and therefore the impact.....
In terms of performances all characters do their job in an efficient manner but yet again its 'Mahi Gill' who grabs your attention throughout.......
In Hindsight she is real Gangster in the movie who displays everything 'Lust' 'Jealousy' & 'Hunger for power' just superbly.....She looks sexy and extremely beautiful at the same time.....
Overall i think people who sees it first time without the baggage of first one may still like it but those who are seeing it as a sequel may not like it as much......However still would look forward to what the 'Biwi' will be upto after this:).....
