Review Kai Po Che
If it was 'Rock On' with which Abhisek Kapoor rocked the world with Kai Po Che he has left them spellbound....Abhisek has this uncanny style of film making where the emotions are heightened in a very very subliminal way and by the time you realise you are completely immersed in it....
He doesn't use any used formula but uses a mix of reality and creativity to touch his audiences heart....His screenplay initially bores you a bit because it starts very slowly and then slowly in a very subtle manner the emotions take you over....
His favorite subject seems to be relationship between friends...So in a way both Rock on and Kai Po Che have a similarity which is both are stories of three friends but the backdrop changes completely between Rock On which was set in very Metro Setting while Kai Po Che is set in Gujarat about three middle class friends and very impressively he manages to handle both backdrop with equal ease and hence leaves his mark as a good filmmaker.
The movie has everything in the right mix whether its the casting, the performances which are extremely well balanced, music that plays its role to heighten the emotions at the right places, pace which goes well with the life of his characters......Where it scores even better than Rock On is the emotions.....By the time it reaches its climax i am sure many in the audience would have cried....
Coming to the story and performances with Kai Po Che 'Sushant Singh' makes a great debut in Movies....Its so surprising to see the lad from 'Zee TV' whose body language has completely changed in this movie....But the guy who manages to attract the attention other than Sushant is 'Amit Sadh' who with his subdues but extremely powerful expression has definitely struck attention....Raj Kumar Yadav has as usual done his bit extremely well and so has Amrita Puri....
The story is about the friendship and dream of three friends to do something on their own against the backdrop of cricket and religious politics which brings rift between and leads them commit mistakes in their lives which they later realise....
While its starts slowly in the first half where the director has spent lot of time establishing the small nuances of friendship and their zeal to chase their dreams, in the second half it concentrates on the rift that comes between them and how they overcome them....
With Kai Po Che many people have increased their expectations be it 'Abhisek Kapoor' or debutant 'Sushant Singh'....Once again UTV has managed to keep their track record of great versatile content true to its life...
Well done UTV, Abhisek & the crew of Kai Po Che for making such a brilliant movie....
If not watched till you are missing something..............
