Review GOW - 2

Spontaneous thoughts : Part 1 was more captivating in its acting, characterisation, build up of the characters, background score and most importantly the depth of characters which i found missing in part 2....While 'Nawazuddin Sidiqqui' did extremely well in bringing his own style to the role but if i compare among the three generations in the movie i.e. Jaideep Ehlawat, Manoj Bajpai & Nawazuddin Sidiqqui all of whom presented their roles of a gangster in their own way i actually found 'Jaidip Ahlwat' and 'Manoj Bajpai' to be more captivating than 'Nawazuddin' and that possibly made the part 1 more interesting .....The background score and music in Part 1 also sounded better than the later half....Possibly the take is that the glamour in 'semi urban' gangster life is actually in the 'non glamorous' way of doing things something which the characters in part 1 potrayed while in part 2 they wanted to project the gangster in a glamorous light which took away the texture from the films DNA somwhere and therefore made it less captivating than part 1...
However overall if you still see this as a complete movie (which it is , just for commercial reasons its released in two parts) its the best 'Gangster Movie' which is comparable to any of the best from Hollywood and for that hats off to 'Anurag Kashyap'
Among the actors in part 2 'Nawazuddin Siddiqui' showed his class as an actor the way he potrayed his character....Apart from Nawazuddin , Vineet Singh who played 'Danish' was extremely impressive in his small role, 'Definite' the writer of the movie ' Zeishan Quadri' was also quite impressive apart from 'Tigmanshu Dhulia', & 'Richa Chaddha' who continued the good work throughout the movie.....Other actors didn't have much to do in the part 2 unlike in part 1 where even smallest of the role made its presence felt....Possibly that is the biggest difference which made part 2 less interesting......
But remember its a comparison between two extremely well made 'halfs' of an extremely captivating movie and if you haven't watched till date then you have missed something BIG....
However if you are not a thriller lover then dont even step into the theatre and spread the wrong word for a Great movie...
