'Gangs Of Wasseypur' is India's answer to 'Quintin Tarantino's' genre of filmmaking but apart from the genre its completely original in its script and narrative. An out and out goon movie which is real, glamorous and extremely captivating...... Its one of those movie which you can watch a couple of times not only to let it grow on you but also to get the scheme of things happening in the narrative. The script is absolutely original a revenge story against the backdrop of 'Coal Mafia' set in a place called 'Wasseypur' a small town near Dhanbad....The story is well researched and which starts from the 1940's and continues till today...The intricacies of how and why the political-goons nexus have flourished the in the sector since independence has been extremely well researched and mixed extremely well in the overall story which is in its Core is a revenge story among two sects of people living in 'Wasseypur'....The narration of the...

Ferrari ki sawaari is a 'Feel Good' genre movie. Its an well made movie with decent performances from everybody but still the movie fails to make any impact and you come out feeling of watching a very average movie from a great team. Commercially inspite of being made on a shoe string budget the movie still might find it difficult to make money as it may not gather enough audiences and good word of mouth, important elements for commercial success since the movie doesn't have the starcast or music to garner good value out of music rights or satellite rights... The problem with the movie seemed to be lack of solid emotional moments in the screenplay that is extremely necessary in this genre of movies, something the movie lacked because of a very average script....Inspite of having extremely capable actors like 'Sharman Joshi' & 'Boman Iraani' the lack of emotional connect is due to the scripts weakness.... The story revolves around a 'son, dad a...

After watching Shanghai two thoughts came to my mind that 'Dibakar Banerjee' is a genius filmmaker in India and how the country has changed hands from being a colony of Britishers to being a colony of politicians... I am yet to see a better movie which portrays a political conspiracy so beautifully....It doesn't have any drama (barring one song), its consistently focuses on what happens to common man in a political conspiracy and how politicians play their games behind the scenes....In a nutshell although the movie is a thriller based on a plot about political conspiracy what makes it watchable is the treatment where you won't see any cliche treatment that you would normally expect around this kind of plot...Its a movie that is mature, extremely realistic and takes you by surprise with its treatment...... In terms of performances on one hand 'Abhay Deol' keeps his goodwill as a tremendous actor who can portray any role very realistically, Emraan Hashmi t...

'Rowdy Rathore' is yet another movie from the Prabhudeva's stable whose style of films could be termed a genre called 'Meaningless Action Thriller'.....A remake of a south Indian movie starred by Ravi Teja, rowdy is an out and out entertainer....There is not much to analyse in the movie as it does not need that...If you are the kind who wants to apply ones mind while watching a movie then 'rowdy rathore' is not for you but if you enjoy pure Indian commercial flicks then you will enjoy this movie to the core....Whats interesting to see that slowly but surely 'South Indian' formula is working in Bollywood as South Indian industry has used this formula to death and in the process created superstars like 'Ravi Teja', 'Vijay' and above all 'Rajnikanth'..... Coming to the movie, action scenes are superb (although pretty similar to the one you have seen in Dabang/Wanted etc...), music is foot-tapping specially the piece which k...
