Veer...is it really written by Salman

By the previews of Veer the movie looks quite magnanimous in its look and feel. Its claimed that Salman is the writer/actor/producer and i guess partly director of the movie. Either this guy is very talented but doesn't look so or his father is helping him out but wants his son to claim the fame. I am finding it very hard to believe that Salman can write a script...not questioning his talent but his patience:)

Review of 'Icche' (bengali movie)

Image
Icche is possibly one of the most wonderful movies i have ever seen till date...More so for the wonderful wonderful performance by 'Sohini Sengupta'... The whole story revolves around the mother 'Mamta' and son 'Soumik' played by 'Sohini Sengputa' & 'Samadarshi Dutta'. The mother is a typical bengali mother who is over possessive and protectionist about her son and wants to fullfill all her dreams thru her son....She wants to fullfill all her dreams thru her son and in the process forgets that her son has a life and identity of his own...'Soumik' starts realising this uncomfortable reality when he falls in love witha Girl in Class XIIth and her mother comes to know of it.... The story on hand is simple but on the other hand it deals with various shades of character of 'Mamta' who loves her son like anything, sometimes she is her best buddy, sometimes she is biggest opponent and sometimes she is manipulating... The story ...

Why Karisma Kapoor’s ‘Brown’ is the Slow-Burn Thriller You Need This Weekend

Image
📺 Title: Brown 🎬 Director: Abhinay Deo 🎭 Lead: Karisma Kapoor 📍 Streaming On: ZEE5 Most detective thrillers follow a frustratingly predictable trajectory. They hook you with a flashy, high-stakes mystery, only to run out of steam by the finale, leaving behind a mess of rushed explanations and clumsy exposition.Abhinay Deo’s Brown flips the script.Instead of collapsing under its own weight, this ZEE5 procedural actually peaks at the finish line, saving its sharpest teeth for the final few episodes. A Masterclass in LonelinessAt the center of this grim, rain-washed puzzle is Rita Brown. Karisma Kapoor returns to acting not with the glitz of a Bollywood diva, but with the quiet, bruised exhaustion of a veteran cop haunted by her own history. Kapoor delivers a masterclass in understatement. She plays Rita as a woman utterly detached from the world—strong-willed on the surface, but deeply hollowed out by grief. What makes her performance truly remarkable is the technical precision. ...

'Shob Choritro Kalponik' and 'Good Fellas'

Sometimes flights are great specially Jet Airways...I think they have a great collection of movies...Yesterday managed to see two movies in the flight and got inspired by both, very different styles but extremely powerful pieces of creativity. 'Shob Choritro Kalponik' is directed by Rituporno...The movie deals with the relationship of a poet husband and his wife and how she explores their relationship post the sudden death of her husband...The story is taken forward beautfully through poems recited in the background....What i loved is the fact that how the director brings out the fact that how in daily lives we evaluate our relationships functionally based on rational aspects of life but its only after a person is gone we explore the emotional bond we had with them....Its very simple and may be said many times before but the way rituporno makes you experience this is brilliant...I don't know how the movie has fared commercially but i think as a piece of 'creative work...
