Review - Broken News (Zee 5)
Yet another series after "Guilty Minds" which brings good original story to the audiences. Thats what i like about "Broken News". The story moves pretty seamlessly from setting up the characters, setting the context of two rival news channels and the world of news to the main plot of Operation Umbrella (to understand this you will have to watch the series) and rivalry between the two main characters. Among the actors the one that stands out is "Jaidip Ahlawat". He completely fits himself into the role of a shrewed, sharp, fearless, but cunning news anchor. You never feel like you are watching someone else but the character. "Shriya Pilgaonkar" has been exhibiting a lot of maturity as an actor ever since Guilty Minds. She looks & feels the character, she looks genuine and the performance seems to coming naturally from her. Among all the character the one who disappointed me the most is "Sonali Bendre".
