Sardar Udham - Amazon Prime

I was awaiting Sardar Udham with a lot of eagerness because of two reasons. # 1 - It was Shoojit's latest creation and we all know how good a film maker he is. # 2 - It had Vicky Kaushal who is one of the best actors in Bollywood today. The 2hr 42 min film was made with great intent to dive deep into the mind and motives of Sardar Udham Singh that led to the killing of Michael O' Dwyer 20 years after he had given the orders for Jaliwalan Bagh Executions.   Searching is a 2018 Korean Film. The film is based on a simple but extremely gripping plot about a 16-year-old girl who goes missing and her father's search for her. The beauty of OTT platforms like Netflix and Prime is that they bring global content to us and that's how content-hungry people like us get exposed to this wide variety of filmmaking. What is most striking about the film is its unique treatment. The entire film and its story are weaved around the digital world. Every scene starts with a mobile or computer screen and the events unfold within the screen, even a call being made is captured as a frame.  As an audience u will get the most unique experience of film viewing, it is truly a digital film. The story is well written, it keeps the twists and turns right till the end, as an audience, there is never a dull moment in the film. It beautifully captures the essence that how we humans are getting more and disconnected from each other in the most connected world. Th...
